Aucilla

Post by kirt »

Anyone think the cold will have trout pushed into the Aucilla this weekend? Or Econfina? I caught quite a few nice trout up in a deep creek hole about 2 weeks ago tomorrow but have yet to find anymore since then that were in creeks.

I may try Steinhatchee then and wait til I hear about Aucilla. I have been hearing good things. A little further, but rock free for the most part.

Steinhatchee was really a great winter fishing place in the 80's could fill up a 96 qt cooler with gator trout quick back then

My buddy talked to JR and he said for the weekend not to bother with Aucilla, the trout are not there yet. Considering he makes a living off it I guess he knows what he is talking about....
