Wish I could be as chipper as everyone else, but pipes are frozen at the moment and I'm pretty darn worried about the snap sound I heard around 3 AM. :smt010

Actually had started a few faucets dropping earlier in the night but didn't turn the flow on very much and worry that they may have been nearly frozen when I started the drip. :smt011

Live on a 40 acre lake... East side of Tallahassee this morning, there was a stretch of ice about 30 yards off the shoreline about 60 yards long and 20-30 ft wide. :o

HEY GYRENE, WHEN THEY FORCAST BELOW 28 FOR A PERIOD OF 4 HOURS OR MORE, LEAVE THOSE SPIGOTS (RUNNIN) NOT DRIPPING. WHEN IT GETS BELOW 28 FOR MORE THAN 4 HOURS THE DRIPPING SPIGOTS FREEZE OVER AT THE SPIGOT AND MOST TIMES IT WILL BE THE SPIGOT THAT FREEZES AND NOT THE PIPE IF IT IS PVC.

I have four 100 watt bulbs that I turn on under the house, never have dripped a faucet and never have frozen

Can finally say GOOD morning! :-D Space heater aimed at my pipe running into the house did the trick and best I can tell the popping noise I heard last night was only a board contracting. No evidence of leaks, water flowing, and pressure good!

Definitely will remember to increase the flow in the future, PA! Wevans, no crawl space at my place but do have a good outdoor light that I can use when need be to keep the pipe section that froze a bit warmer. Thanks for the good tips! Really knew better than letting the pipe freeze but never having had it happen before had to let experience teach me that lack of past events doesn't rule out future occurences! :hammer:
