Kevin's Sporting Goods
I am pleased to let everybody know that Kevin's Sporting Goods will return as a year long sponsor. They will also continue the Big Flounder for 2010.
They will also be sponsoring the March and November NFGFC tournaments.
Let's all take the time to thank them for their continued support.

Andrew ain't scared - and we are fishin' your holes anyways, so just bring it on!
Re: Kevin's Sporting Goods
I had Kevin's fill a couple of spools with 30# braid last week. Way cheaper than off-the-shelf.

What did they charge and what brand to they carry in bulk?Harmsway wrote:I had Kevin's fill a couple of spools with 30# braid last week. Way cheaper than off-the-shelf.
Re: Kevin's Sporting Goods
It's cheaper because you spend less. They only charge you for what you use on the spool. I have them load all my spools with PowerPro. How many times have you bought a pack of braid and after spooling you end up with 20-30 extra yards of leftover line?

Kevin's has a good selection of PowerPro and a few other brands of braided lines like sufix and Calcutta (plus lots of mono). I chose Sufix 30# and paid $8 to fill Okuma VS40 spool and $10 to fill Supercaster SX240 spool.

Kevins is the best place for backing for a reel reel - cheapest by far
