Shimano Chronarch CH-200
I have an old Chronarch that I bought 12-15 years ago. It was very expensive when I got it. I have always liked the reel. The anti-reverse has quit working on it and I can not find any of the old paperwork. Will Shimano fix it under warranty because I remember it having a lifetime warramty, I think. I have never had one that I felt worthy of repairing until now. Has anyone ever sent one off that has an idea of how much it will be? I am trying to decide if it is worth it. Thanks

Also - go to Shimano's website. They have a list of reels that they no longer have parts for. Unfortunately, I have an 8 yr old Stradic that they will not fix.

Thanks Chalk, I will give it a shot. It has been on the back of my Polaris on many dirt roads. That could be the problem. I might take it over to Big Al's reel repair in Albany and see if he can work some magic. Thanks,

Re: Shimano Chronarch CH-200
Shot some reel magic in the drain hole and shake it a little...if it starts working its dirty....has ever been cleaned? I clean mine every 5-6 trips.
Look at this schematic - part 3215 and 2404 is the anti reverse....usually 2404 is dirty or too greasy.

No sir, I am ashamed to say. It has always just been a pond reel and has taken some abuse. I am about to try your advice. Thanks bud.Chalk wrote:....has ever been cleaned?

Call Jeff and he"ll either fix you up or it can't be fixed.
