Hunting Observation

Post by dolphinatic »

I've noticed a trend during this hunting season and wondered if any of you hunting gurus had any additional input. I've noticed that if there are no squirrels seen, no deer are seen  I went a couple of days this past week, and started to notice this. On the days no squirrels were seen, I saw nothing but birds......quail, sparrows, robins & turkeys. Two mornings ago I went....no squirrels were running around, but I saw 10 turkeys. I go this morning and just at daylight, a huge o'possum walks right under me. Then the squirrels are running everywhere. About 8:00am, I hear a hawk screech from behind me, and there runs a buck! The buck runs towards the field, stops for a 2 seconds and looks, then bolts across the field....I never had a chance at a shot :x

I just wondered if anybody else has ever noticed this "trend", and if so, got any input?
