MLK Day Catching...

Post by Rainman »

Put in at the fort around 11. Fished any spot that looked good along the St. Marks out to about the island on the left that people camp on. No bites, we fishing jigs slow on the bottom. Came back to the first spot as we had seen mullet and dolphins earlier in the day and wanted to fish this area once the tide had moved in. This little creek produces four trout, two being keepers. This was the only bite of the day and it all happened at the peak feed time around 3:30. If a spot feels right trust your instinct, it payed off with dinner on this day.

BTW I caught the trout on one of those Capt Mike plastics with the shad body and curly tail that Jerrys has on sale for $2.50 a pack, stop by and see them if you get a chance, they say it's been real slow lately...
