Red Trout Shootout

Post by Coastal Angler Mag »

Hey everybody the 2nd annual Red Trout Shootout is scheduled for April 24 and will be held at C-Quarters Marina again. Also the bikini contest will be at pockets on the 22nd, I don’t know if anyone went to that in October but it was a lot of fun. 1st place this time around is a 16' Inshore Power Boat I had the pleasure of test driving one of these on the Cape a few months ago and is along the line of a Hells Bay as far as performance and construction, go sign up this should be a real good one. Oh the Shimono tour is coming to Tally on the 17th at Kevins, so save your pennies I know there are going to be some real good deals at this event.

Good lawd...$300 ($200 + $100 in calcuttas) is pricey even if you can win a boat. It'll be interesting to see if participation increases with that price tag...

$125 if you paid your entry fee a couple weeks before the tournament, $200 if you entered tourney day, and $50 for big trout calcutta and $50 for big red calcutta. Most people I talked to paid early; hate to see that option / discount eliminated.

Ahh yes, I remember that day now. The day it took me 2 hours to get from one side of the bay to the other because of the 8' waves breaking over the bow!!

There was a decent showing with crappy weather last fall. I'm definately fishing it again.

Aren't you fishing IFA? You get to sleep in your bed and trailer to your favorite ramp for less than the entry fee for IFA - right?

You made enough money last year fishing to sponsor two teams this year - http://www.redtroutshootout.com/results.html

Pay your money and quit bitching

Rules and entry forms are old.
When are the new forms available?
Will there be a early registration discount?

They need to work on the bikini contest; last year's bikinis were so small you could hardly see them. :smt047

The new forms will be ready in the next couple days, they are just a little behind. I know the registration fee went up but I just got off the phone with the director and he told me that if you dont pre-register its even more the day of. The reason for this is that the boat, motor, and trailer thats 1st place is around 20K so entry went up.
