fish bouy/marker (offshore)
was watching a video the other day, and the people had located some good bottom and decides to drop some sort of bouy on the spot to help them set up a drift...it was a round bouy like on a crabtrap maybe a little larger, it had a small flag on top.....it appeared as if the guy hit a lever or a button after he reached over and set it in the water...I'm "assuming" that the weight with a line attached dropped from the bottom of the bouy...I cant find anything on the web that looks like that ....any ideas?? links to sites or anything???
any help would be appreciated

Re: fish bouy/marker (offshore)
I have 2 suremarkers. I have tried other markers and nothing is more functional. The flag retracts back down into the float for easier storage. The crank is removable and has an option to use a cordless drill for faster reteival. They are a bit pricey though. The best deal I have found is on ebay. The seller is fishermansheadquaters, he sells refurbs for almost half the price with free shipping. The ones that I got were brand new refurbs if you know what i mean. Hope this helps, and stay out of JT's holes!

I prefer the bandit buoy because it has a marker stripe and rudder that let's you know which way the current if flowing which makes it much easier to anchor.

Tom, does the buoy come with the weight or is that a separate purchase?

Figured as much. Thanks, though. Exactly what I'm looking for.
