Last club meeting there was discussion about three fabulous, non -NFGFC events, that the club participates in each year; Hands Helping Anglers, the Children's Home and the Yacht Club Rodeo.
Does anyone have exact dates for these events yet?
As the calendar starts to fill up for 2010 I would like to ensure I keep these dates open to the extent possible.
Thanks in advance.

Re: dates of the 3 non-NFGFC fishing events?
Good afternoon SHOWBOAT.
I can not speak for the Club officially. I have been functioning as a "go between" and forwarding any information on dates to the Club officers. It will be up to one of them to make an official release of a Club commitment. I can say that the Baptist Children’s Home (TAKF) has definitely decided on May 15th as their event date. I assume our Club will support that event as in the past but I haven't heard anything for sure.
As far as the Hands Helping Anglers, the last I heard from their organizers was that we (The Club) could pick either June the 5th or the 19th. I shared this infromation with our Club at the last meeting. I sent an email to them (HHA) this morning asking for confirmation that my understanding was the same as their’s but I have not received a reply. If it's our choice, it will simply be an issue for our officials to pick the most convenient date. I understand about calendar management and I hope this helps some.

I just received a reply back from the Hands Helping Anglers regarding a date for the event. They confirmed that they were waiting on NFGFC officals to make a decision on either June 5th or 19th. So I would guess it will be one or the other and the Take a Kid Fishing event is set for May 15th regardless of whether the Club participates or not. All we need now is some offical word that the calendar has been set.

The Hands Helping Anglers event will be on June 5, 2010. Please put this date in your calendar now...we've got some excited anglers and we'll need all the volunteer captains we can get.
Boom goes the dynamite.
