LETS CONTACT THE SPONSORS

Post by Sir reel »

This morning, I posted the following to the thread about the up coming Social but not sure folks are following that each time there's a post so I"m gonna repeat it here (If moderator is OK with it)

OK FOLKS... As of this morning, I've counted 6 different sponsors who have stepped up AGAIN this year to support our Social and BigBendFishing.Net. As of this writing, I have not seen a single reply or indication that any one has made an attempt to contact them and express our appreciation for the resources they provide. Many of them also support the NFGFC's tournaments with money and goods for raffles and prizes. LETS GET TO IT FOLKS!! This forum we enjoy and DEPEND on for excellent information as well as entertainment doesn't just happen!! It takes work behind the scenes and financial support to keep the site running and provide for the annual Social in Sopchoppy which is one of the best I've had the pleasure to attend! I'm sure that some of you may have contacted the sponsors and personally thanked them and if so, let us hear from you. As far as the rest of us (me included) we need to get on the ball and make sure we recognize their support and not take them for granted. We came real close this year to NOT having this event. It takes a LOT of work to pull this off. Chalk and Tom along with others have worked hard over the past 7 years to provide what we (I) may just accept as "it's always gonna be there". ( I'm step'n down off the box now...) Let's start today to contact our sponsors and say Thank You !

Relax Bud - more happens out there than you think!

Parkway Marine got $4000.00 to fix my Aucilla River boat motor incident this past Summer, they also fixed my Jeep for me a couple months ago, Tom Wheeler is scheduled to detail my wife's car this week, Redbelly is supposed to do some work on my kitchen, Kevin's and South GA. Outdoors both get monthly payments from me and I drive past Walmart to get to their stores. I pretty much don't shop or do business with nonsponsors if I have a choice.

That's a great question. Short answer...there isn't one that I know of. It would be nice to have one don't you think?

Best way I've found is to click on the "discussion" link and scroll down the categories clicking on each banner.

I went to the club web site and clicked on Sponsors and they all came up. Hope that helps.

Thanks RC.

The Bigbendfishing net and the North Florida Gulf Fishing Club are two seperate entities. They may very well both have the same sponsers but I couldn't say for sure. I would assume that the sponsers for the BBF Social, would not necessarily be the same as those who support the Club... somebody who knows needs to step up here and straighten us out.

No problem RC...it's easy to get the two mixed together into one. This exercise may have served to educate some of the newer folks.

SR/TK, do the site sponsors differ from the social sponsors?

here is the link to social sponsors

http://www.bigbendfishing.net/phpBB3/vi ... lit=social

Here is the link to club sponsors

http://www.nfgfc.org/sponsors.php

I can't help with site sponsors other than sorting through banners, and I imagine most if not all are covered under one of the preceding links
In the end we will conserve only what we love. We will love only what we understand. And we will understand only what we are taught.

As Bud said,Big Bend Fishing.net and North Florida Gulf Fishing Club(nfgfc.org) are not associated with one another with one exception.
Big Bend Fishing.net has allowed NFGFC.org to post club functions eg: meetings and tournaments as well as to notify club members of any upcoming changes as a medium in addition to the club website.
Any sponsors listed on BBF.n are solely responsible to BBF.n.
Likewise,Any NFGFC.org sponsors are solely responsible to NFGFC.
Thankfully many of these sponsors appreciate the things the BBF forum members do for them as well as the NFGFC members.
Most but not all NFGFC members follow BBF.net forum, that is why you see so much reference to NFGFC on here.
Tom Keels owns Big Bend Fishing .net.
North Florida Gulf Fishing Club is a membership based organization.
