St. Marks Redfish 2/3/10

Post by Jhults11 »

My buddy Jeremy just acquired a small flats/river boat so we decided to take it on it first voyage today. We fished the creeks east of the lighthouse and had a stellar day in the number of fish, just not in size. We had our limit within 15 minutes fishing the shorelines of creeks with frozen shrimp. We got to a know deep hole of ours and fished from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm on that spot. We caught 1 keeper sheepie at 14" to go with our 2 reds along with 5 short sheepies and 43 undersized reds between 14 and 17". It was awesome...like every cast for several hours. All fish were caught on frozen shrimp. Great weather and great day...great first trip for his boat. Gettin in warmed up for some trout slayin in the spring...tight lines!

That's awesome man. Getting me fired up to go.

On a Wednesday to boot! That's sure to make a few people jealous, I know I am.
