Re: NFGFC February Redfish - POSTPONED TO 2/13/10
The right call was made to cancel the tournament. Huey, Tanner and I put in at the fort and ran the boat down to big pass @ 9:00 am Sat, the only way to fish would be to anchor down and fish with live, or cut bait. The winds were a steady 20 to 25 knots and higher gusts, with no possible way for boat control. The water was the color of chocolate milk. We made cast with corks/gulps, spoons, straight grubs, not a nibble. ran back up towards the yacht club where we observed two folks fishing shrimp and did not see any action.Ran back up the St. Marks past Shields then back to the ramp to load up and head for home. Hope next weekend will be a better one, this sure was not a good one, Good call Casey.
