NFGFC March Tournament presented by Kevin's 3/6 ROLL CALL

Post by caseycook »

The NFGFC March tournament presented by Kevin's Guns and Sporting Goods will be March 6th out of Jerry's Bait and Tackle. Anglers must register at Jerry's, but can launch at any ramp of their choosing.

Registration will be from 5:30 a.m. – 6:00 a.m. Anglers can register after 6 a.m. at the Jerry's cash register. Boats can leave the dock at safe light - 6:27 a.m.

Tournament entry fee is $20 per boat for club members or $25 per boat if a non-member is on the boat. You must have one NFGFC member in good standing (up to date on dues) on the boat to be eligible to fish the tournament. Entry forms will be passed out at the meeting and are available online at
http://www.nfgfc.org/docs/entryform.pdf.

PLEASE BRING YOUR ENTRY FORMS ALREADY FILLED OUT AND EXACT CHANGE FOR EACH OF THE SIDE POTS. At registration, those who have their forms already filled out will be registered first. If you don't have your form filled out, you'll be sent to the back of the line.

Teams must be checked in by 3:30 p.m. The weigh-in will begin at 3:45 p.m. and teams will weigh their fish in the order of entry.

Tournaments rules can be found here: http://www.nfgfc.org/docs/tournamentrules.htm

Tournament Format: Weigh your best one person limit of trout (1 over 20”, 4 between 15” – 20”).

Side Pots: There will also be a big trout side pot - $5 per person, everyone on the boat has to participate to win. Heaviest trout takes it. The second largest trout of the tournament will win $25 courtesy of Custom Detailing and Tom Wheeler. The largest trout weighed in club tournaments throughout the year by an NFGFC member will win a Matthew’s Fishin’ Stix rod courtesy of Mathew and Christy Jacobs.

There will also be a redfish side pot of $10 per person; everyone on the boat must enter. The heaviest legal redfish wins the pot. The heaviest redfish of the year weighed by an NFGFC member will win a Matthew’s Fishin’ Stix rod as well.

The Badcock and More Mystery Fish species will be POMPANO. The heaviest legal POMPANO weighed will win $200 courtesy of Jay Evans!!! Teams must have at least one NFGFC on them to be eligible to win.

I'm excited to say that presenting sponsor, Kevin's Guns and Sporting Goods has stepped up in a big way. We'll be giving away $250 worth of Kevin's gift cards to tournament participants. Some of these gift cards will be distributed in the post-tournament raffle and some will be given out to non-money winning high finishers. Please thank the folks at Kevin's for their contribution.
