We went and tried to find some reds to throw some flies at, and found some at our third stop. Had one eat twice, but no hookup. Found some large schools of sheepshead, caught one 5 lb'er on a DOA cal, then also had one eat a clouser, but no hookup again. Reds were cold and spooky, but we got some casting practice. There was no wind, but it was cold. The only boat we saw was us. Fish were in 2-4 ft of stained water. Good to get back on the water.
Seen Fish:
35 reds
a dillion sheepshead
2 mullet (one dead)
4 trout (two were 5lbs +)
their mouths always freak me out a little too much there.
Three-fourths of the Earth's surface is water, and one-fourth is land. It is quite clear that the good Lord intended us to spend triple the amount of time fishing as taking care of the lawn. ~Chuck Clark
