Capt. Leake's Beavertail Vengeance
Got wind that Panama Ling aka Capt. Justin Leake from http://panamacityinshore.com/ new Beavertail Vengeance was here. Called Justin and he said come on it's here. Got there and he took me for a ride - sweet riding boat - the bay was pretty choppy - me being in dress pants and a tie didn't get wet - rode like a Cadillac. Liked the boat - took my phone out and the gps said we were doing 40 mph in some choppy water...a little prop work and she should be screaming.
Nothing like riding in a new boat - but to top it off the owner Mark Fisher delivered it to him. I got to spend some time talking to Mark - looking at some of his awesome duck videos...they have ducks like we have black birds.
Capt. Leake's clients will love fishing off of this skiff this up coming tarpon season
Here are some pictures of the boat - from my phone. Nice ride Cappy

Here is a pic of it in front of my folks house. http://www.beavertailskiffs.com/ I'll post some more up when I get em. I cant say enough about the BT crew, they really put it all together on this one. I am running a 16" 4 blade powertech on it. Come on warm weather, I'm ready now!

Just re-read this. You would think that 90 would have that little boat FLYING! That 4 blade must really bite for a good hole shot, and hamper the top end.

Yeah, I am missing a few mph on the top end, but its worth it out of the hole. After I wear a little cup off I expect to see a few more mph's.rocket wrote:Just re-read this. While I'm not planning on replacing the BTX at this point, I'd love to take a look at that thing if your ever around Lanark for Tarpon this summer.
The amount of freeboard looks great, that's one of my few complaints with the B1 / B2 / BTX hulls. While a low freeboard helps cut down on the wind catching it, I've had more than one close call out there, just ask Supafly
