Well this was to be a family outing, so we sure did not burn any bridges getting there. Arrived around 9:00, and headed on out to the first stop in 2.5 around Adams Beach, and not a thing was biting there. OK we move further North and this time stopped in 4.0 - 4.5 and first cast, short Trout we stayed in this are for the remainder and kept moving back to drift the same depth. If we got even the slightest under 4.0 then there was nothing biting, we were only on the water a couple hours and ended with a dozen short, so close to 15, and maybe a couple right on but to close for me to even consider keeping. Now the wife is not a
Fisherperson" she rarely if ever goes with us, and its just not her cup of tea, so when she caught her first Trout, I told her she had to hold it for a pic, well as you can see priceless.
At this point the son had not caught anything and the wife was all over him that he was still o-fer and she had 2 at this point. Wel she ended up outfishing him 3 to 1.
Is this a guard dog or what. Actually I think it was shark bait, cause as we were leaving heading back in we spotted a dorsal making a good wake around or area, tried throwing what was already rigged, cause we were on our way in but nothing doing. As I through past it and brought in forward, it would go under then come up just past, not interested..
We loaded up the boat and headed over to the Beach Pavillion for a burger burn before heading to the hill, nice day on the water, all had a good time..
