Heading south of the border this weekend!!

Post by Angryitalian »

Well,
Finally went ahead and registered. Been enjoying some good reading and info. over the last couple weeks and hope to be able to repay. Heading down from Macon this weekend to pick up the Skiff from the shop, and hope to be in the water by noon on Friday. Used to fish around the St. Marks area all the time back in college days, so hopefully I'll remember some of our old hot spots. Weather looks great, boat should be running solid (knock on wood), and hopefully the fish'll be bitin' too. If anybody has any tips, I certainly won't turn 'em down. If not I'll get a report posted when we get back on dry land. By the way, where's the best place to pick up some frozen shrimp? Jerry's? Shields?

Either place should have shrimp.
You should come fish the NFGFC tournament on Saturday and meet many of the folks on this forum.

JT is so excited he gets to go fishing again, he's stuttering.

Wish I could enter the tourney, but right now looks like I'll have my 4 yr. old with me on Friday/Saturday. We'll probably goof around and treat this as a test run. Will try to get back out early Sunday morning for a few hours before heading home that afternoon. Gotta hit it hard b/c it'll probably be a month before I can get back down. Wish I was closer. (Mental note - check for internal job postings within the TLH branch tomorrow at work)

We have a Junior Angler division as well. If you're in the neighborhood of Jerry's Bait and Tackle around 3:30 Saturday afternoon, stop in and join us.
