Man I stumbled onto a good one here. First I will say I am a republican and darn proud of it. If you are a democrat well good for you both sides have their strong points and without them we would be in a mess. It has worked for the last couple hundred years and I expect it will work for a couple more.

As for the political threads if you don't like em don't read em!!! That's what everyone else does. Chill out. :smt005 :smt005 :smt005 :smt005 :smt005

Wevans, you get rid of the politicians you get rid of the political post.
Then we can spend more of OUR money on fishing instead of dumbass giveaway programs to those who won't work and businesses that screw the public.

Sooo True!!!

Thanks RHTFISH. I needed that. I'm watching the Noles play bball and need some cheering up. Frustrating to watch my favorite college team shoot worse than a high school team.

The political joke I posted on the morning of the 27th went *poof*. So that was the beginning and end of my contribution to that endeavor.

Know how to stop a Democrat? Tell him to keep his hands in his own pockets!

Know how to tell a Democrat standing in line from a Republican standing in line? The democrat is standing in the welfare line, the Republican is standing in the bank line.

Know what really separates a Democrat from a Republican? A Republican doesn't use the government to steal your money and give it to his causes, while a Democrat doesn't give personally to a cause, he gets the government to steal it.

That folks is my political seminar for today!

Huh? I'm not sure what you're getting at. I don't know who Tennessee is, so I'm not sure what group you're lumping me into. Quixote is a conservative Republican, isn't he?

Political "commentary" is allowed with a very short leash around here. Jokes or commentary threads that have an overtly racial or offensive undertone are killed quickly. There are 2 topics around the interwebs that are given a lot of scrutiny...Politics and Religion. Several forums have banned any discussion at all of them. While I don't think we need to do that here, I also want to remind everyone that this forum is not a democracy and that posting here is a privilege.

All I ask is that when posting potentially "polarizing" comments remember the following rules from the BBF Code of Conduct.

1. No vulgar language or profanity - This includes inappropriate words, racist statements, inappropriate sexual references and other vulgar statements. This includes no posting or linking of any adult related material (pornography, videos or adult humor). We would like BBF.net to be 'PG' at most. Remember for every one person posting there are at least 50 reading so try to keep it clean.

2. No threatening, abusive or harassing comments.

3. No slanderous or libelous posts - Knowingly making false claims about a company, organization or an individual are prohibited.

9. Do not engage in "flame-wars" or excessive exchange of confrontational postings. Debate is important, but users should not try to "pick a fight."

14. Forum rules and guidelines are not up for debate. This is not a democracy, but rather a private forum. Anyone openly debating the rules we have set in place will be removed. Moderators of this forum are not to be argued with when enforcing forum rules and guidelines. Anyone arguing with a Moderator against disciplinary measures will be removed from the forum.

Republican or Democrat? :smt017

A woman in a hot air balloon realized she was lost. She lowered her altitude and spotted a man in a boat below. She shouted to him, "Excuse me, can you help me? I promised a friend I would meet him an hour ago, but I don't know where I am." The man consulted his portable GPS and replied, "You're in a hot air balloon, approximately 30 feet above a ground elevation of 110 feet above sea level. You are at 30 degrees, 31.56 minutes north latitude and 84 degrees, 19.18 minutes west longitude.

She rolled her eyes and said, "You must be a Republican." "I am,"replied the man. "How did you know?" "Well," answered the balloonist, everything you told me is technically correct, but I have no idea what to do with your information, and I'm still lost. Frankly, you've not been much help to me."

The man smiled and responded, "You must be a Democrat." "I am,"replied the balloonist. "How did you know?" "Well," said the man, "you don't know where you are or where you're going. You've risen to where you are, due to a large quantity of hot air. You made a promise that you have no idea how to keep, and you expect me to solve your problem. You're in exactly the same position you were in before we met but, somehow, now it's my fault."
