Trip isn't primarily a fishing one, but since I'll be staying at the Waterfront Inn might sneak a cast or two in with a light spinning rig. Anybody know what species should be biting within walking distance of the Inn right now? Info/tips from anybody that knows the area will be MUCH appreciated!

Will be spending a few days at the Jupiter Waterfront Inn this month and wondering if any of you guys know the Jupiter inlet area well.

Pompano! They've been doing real well at first light for an hour or two on the beach near the inlet - Pompano jigs and lead head with Gulp sandfleas. You also may see Blues and Mackerel.
While you're in the area go visit Blowing Rocks park. It's close to where you will be; beautiful spot and good fishing from shore.

Limitless, I meant to attach a map photo of where I'm staying and forgot so will do now. I'm staying on the inside of the inlet. Will I still have a shot at pompano, or do I need to head to the outer beach area?

Ring . . . ring . . . ring . . . "Hello BBG, this is Panga calling. Do you miss me?"
To fish, or not to fish, . . . those are the answers.

HEY BBG, FISH ANYWHERE ALONG THE BULKHEADS AND YOU MIGHT CATCH ANYTHING. MY SON HAS A HOME DOWN ABOUT 2 BLOCKS FROM WHERE YOU WILL BE STAYING AND I CATCH JUST ABOUT ANY AND EVERY THING THERE. THE LAST TIME I WAS DOWN THERE I CAUGHT A JACK THAT WEIGHED 6 1/2 POUNDS AND HOOKED SEVERAL TARPON, THESE WERE CAUGHT ON CHARTRUISE PADDLE TAIL JIGS AND TOP WATER PLUGS. HAVE NOT CAUGHT ANY TROUT DOWN THERE BUT THERE ARE QUITE A FEW REDS AND LADIES. MY BOY HAS CAUGHT SOME SNOOK DURING THE SUMMER MONTHS.

BBG, for pomps you need to be out on the beach. But inshore you could pick up Snook, Redfish, Jacks, etc.

Harmsway, you have no idea how much of a broken relationship "Marine's Dream" and I have had of late!
2009 held the fewest fishing trips I've taken in the eight years I have been here. Praying 2010 sees us together much more often.
Pa and Limitless, exactly the type info I was wanting! MANY, many thanks.
