St Marks 4-10-04

Post by Sea Gurl »

Hey Folks,

Wanted to post on to another St Marks report yesterday but never got a chance. Boss hung around all day long.

Was heading out of the lighthouse channel at 12:30 Saturday, about an hour past low tide. Went east past Grey Mare. Caught trout from the first cast after stopping. That was exciting right off! Water was crystal clear - saw a huge gar and three sea turtles right at the boat. Caught some really big trout both on Catch 2000 and SWA's.

Ended the day with 10 trout and 2 macks. I was so proud of the cooler I actually ASKED The Man to look at them at the dock!! Little disappointed that we didn't do better with the macks though - maybe next trip.

Glad to read that most everyone had success on the water. Just being out there was great in itself.

Sea Gurl

P.S. - Tin Can - I actually tied your knot - I think?!?!

Good report, Sea Gurl. Sounds like you did well. I'll be at the meeting Thursday night if you want to go over that knot again.
What was I supposed to do today?
