skeg guards

Post by newboy »

I am looking at putting a skeg guard on my 90 yamaha. The "Mac's river runner with prop guard" looks great but I have concerns that it may cause cavitation. Does anybody have any advice or suggestions?

Just had Wavel put one on my 40 Yamaha. Have not needed it so far :o Good work, fast turnaround, reasonable price.

Porter rock guard. Call Waivel at Porter Marine in Woodville, Fl. Those dragons in Ecky would eat that Mac's River Runner and leave you with no skeg at all :smt011

Can't beat that Porter Rock Guard. Tested mine on my 25hp Merc at wide open throttle and it saved the prop, skeg and my trip. Just look at the commercial guys running around and you will see a Waivel rock guard on em.
