Re: Who remembers
HEY JT 51, THAT BROUGHT BACK MANY MEMORIES WHEN I WAS RUNNIN MY 40 FORD COUPE. I PUMPED UP THAT LITTLE 85 HP TO 150 WITH A COLUMBIA OVERDRIVE REAR, THAT LITTLE BUGGER WOULD LEAVE THE GROUND IF THE WIND WAS COMING FROM THE WRONG WAY. RAN DAYTONA BACK WHEN IT WAS ROAD A 1 A AND BEACH AND SAND DUNES AT EACH END. BOY THOSE SAND DUNES WERE REALLY ROUGH. THAT S WHEN LEE PETTY, WOODS BROS., CALE YARBOUGH AND THAT BUNCH WERE THE ONES TO BEAT. THANKS FOR POSTING.

"Good Judgement" comes from experience, ... and a lot of that..... results from "Bad Judgement".

Re: Who remembers
Mine was a candy apple red 66 Ford-100 truck with a board 60 over 460 big block with a dual carb tunnel ram sticking out of the hood about 10inches and for the shifting it had a Cheetah reverse vaule body with a b&m rachet shifter a 4800 stall converter and in the rear was a tubed 9inch 4 link coil over suspension and 488 gears with a locker and 15x15 center line wheels and 22inch mickey thompson tires
Man I loved that ride
But now I have a boat

Re: Who remembers

Mine was a 1950 Chevy. Not much modified, but it was mine.

What was I supposed to do today?
Re: Who remembers
JT, you know I remember, I was raised right up the street from all of those places you mentioned, 1319 South Monroe Street (Thompsons Hamburgers) Telephone 29852. I had a 55chevy, a 56 chevy, and a 67 camero. Then came Uncle Sam and Viet Nam
. Put an end to all the fun. But the memories will never die. God Bless The USA.
