Keaton Beach 3-20-10

Post by bull68dawg »

Got a late start this morning so we didnt make it to the landing until 8 ish. Made it the first hole around 9, second cast "BAM" 19" trout.
Three cast later "BAM", 24" trout. So by this time we are already thinking that we should have our limit in short order but the fish think otherwise.
We didnt gey another bite until 1:20  but after that it was on like Donkey Kong. By 2 pm we had our limit of 10 and headed to the landing.
All the fish were caught on Twitch Baits in 5-6 feet of water. If we went any shallower or deeper the bite turned off. I will try to post the pics when the wife
shows me how to upload them.

Oh yeah. Good day. Sounds like the bite quit around low tide? That's what I've been seeing. Were you north or south (not asking for any more info than that!)? I bet it was crowded at Keaton today. Thanks for the report.
