Sir Reel, where did you purchase your new sending unit? I have a 1720 keywest and I am having the same problem.

Because I needed to get'ER done this weekend I broke down and purchased it from West Marine. If you go on line you can save close to $20 bucks if you have the time to wait on shipping. Sheilds, Mikes, etc. may have them in stock as well... I was working with a Sunday afternoon in Tallahassee so.....
