Cedar Keys Question

Post by woopty »

Anybody fish Cedar Key?

I was wondering what's the deal with these structures east of town. Are they rubble piles? Clam farming?

Didn't look at the map, but CK is one of the largest aquaculture clam areas in the U.S. I would suspect the structures are clam leases.

Neat photo. Those are clam leases. The island to the left is Dog Island. Straight ahead from those leases (to the north), to the right of that creek mouth you can catch some very large black drum in the summer time. Forty to 60 lbers. They like to hang there.

Then again so do a number of very large stingrays.............
