Thursday night was boarding a plane in Las Vegas at 22:00 (PST). Arrived in Atlanta at 0430 (EST). Got about 30 minutes sleep on the plane. Grabbed bags, loaded the truck and drove south to Albany. Got in town at 0800. Loaded the truck and headed to Flint River Marine to pick up the Nauticstar (had some electrical issues with the trolling motor). Hooked up the boat and headed south to Perry. Arrived at the Holiday Inn Express, got checked in, then decided to fish rather than take a nap. Headed south and spent a couple hours with little luck. Picked up a trout and one spanish. Headed back, loaded up and got some chow. Kids arrived (they had to work Friday) about 21:00. We hit the rack (don't think my head hit the pillow before I was out) and arrived early for the tourney. We started south for the first hour and a half....no joy. Ran the trolling motor for about 10 minutes, then it quit working.

We then headed north and made a bunch of moves in various depths and directions never staying more than 20 minutes in one spot if we weren't catching. We caught about 15 trout and loaded 7 in the cooler. Lost a couple keepers at the boat (forgot the net)

. Got our first official weigh in with a limit of trout and finished somewhere around the middle of the pack.

My kids commented that either one would weigh in vice the previous tourney's where we had 1-2 fish and you couldn't pay them to step up to the scales. We went out for a couple hours Sunday and it was like glass on the water. Picked up another 10 trout or so, bringing back 3 keepers. Ate fresh fish last night and was in bed by 8:30 last night.
Had a great time, good seeing everyone and couldn't have asked for better weather. Great time with my kids. Can't wait til next time.
Another very nice job by Casey and Pat. Organized, focused and good planning. Thanks guys.
Pic of kids with some of the trout.
