It took me over an hour to clean the Cobia this morning - got a late start and the fan was blowing stronger than expected, but the boat was loaded and me and Lil Chalk headed off into the unkown. After stopping for snacks and ice the Ghostrider was skimming in inches of water because the waves were to big in three foot of water

. First stop showed a few redfish and had a few trout hits..but no takers. Second move shows a grenade explosion on the surface and no fish...twitch another explosion...so fish...twitch twitch and the last explosion resulted in steel into flesh. Then the massive shadow was snaking towards the boat and the fire drill went off - ding ding ding "Big Trout" Me and lil chalk run around the boat and finally land the big girl...she was right on the 26" mark and full of eggs. Snapped a few photo's of her and released her unharmed and full of eggs.
We kept on fishing and would catch a trout here and there....even caught a 22" but no pics...to small

....Scratched out a limit and was working on some more when the water turned red and mass chaos consumed us for about twenty minutes. Found a school of bull reds that were really hungry....got one then another one...then this toron in a kenner comes plowing through the middle of the fish and they are gone
Lil Chalk snagged this keeper all on his own with the big bulls around the boat...I hooked up and said, "come get this fish!" and he said, "I got my own!"
The second big red
Great day with my son - look forward to many more.
Fish were caught on Bite-A-Bait and Mirrolure's
