Popeye called and let me know that one of our own had been in a fatal accident last night. This is very tragic. He was well known at FCKA and ventured down from Thomasville with his son a lot to enjoy all the Forgotten Coast has to offer. He will be missed. His family is back at home and I offered my condolences.

The Florida highway patrol says around 11:00 pm Thursday night a forty one year old driver, whose name has not been released, was traveling southbound on state road sixty-one and collided with the vehicle of thirty-six year old Daniel Monohan.
Authorities say both vehicles veered off the road, Monohan's vehicle collided with a fence and the unknown driver crashed into a tree.
FHP says both drivers were wearing their seat belts.
The unknown driver died at the scene.
Monohan was taken to the Hospital where authorities say he's in critical condition.
Authorities are investigating whether alcohol was a factor in the crash.

Re: RIP Greg Blackwell aka Cueball
Greg was a good friend and fellow co-worker, Always a fun loving guy and every time we talked he wanted to know if i had been fishing or he may have had a fishing story himself to tell. The wife and i made a fishing trip to Costa Rica this past Dec. and when Greg found out how much fun it was he booked a trip for his family next month. I hope they still go, Greg would have wanted it that way. RIP my good Friend
