Enconfina Thu and Frii

Post by sundown »

This un is real short !
In at Enconfina yesterday (thu) morning about nine.out before one....Had to be the roughest day I ever tried to fish the flats..Had one keeper...Looked like we were playing Deadliest Catch out there..It was rough !

Today in about nine on low water...Breezy but went down towards the birdracks.. Bites spotty..Mostly shorts..At high tide started in to try to pick up a couple reds but couldn't get em to bite..Went back out to five ft and started throwing plastic again..around three the bite picked up and the wind backed down...Between three and five caught a couple limits..Fish nothing to brag about..Biggest 18" ...did catch a lot of shorts...Few days this place ought to be awesome !
Oh yeah, water was around 63 when we went out..got up to 72 before we left..

Sundown, though the weather was a ton nicer on Wednesday biting was spotty for sure. Did catch four reds but over the span of a couple of hours sitting in a single spot... far different experience than when the bite has been hot and I've caught 20 or so out of a school within 30 minutes. And we only got one trout... didn't have your patience.
Way to tough out the weather and to get on the trout!  salute1

Catching's great, but when not, just the ride down the Enconfina can sure smooth the wrinkles out of a mans soul. The catching part is icing on the cake. Course don't help the looks of the frying pan much when you ain't catching does it.
