just picked up a american rodsmith team inshore rod

Post by antoni »

went to kevins to pick up some tackle for my sgi trip next week and stumbled upon the ARS rod rack. I'am completely new the ars and don't know much about them other than they are involved in the pro redfish circuit in some capacity. anyway the team inshore models are im10 graphite and are xtra fast action, tich guides and have cool grips. nice change from cork. seems like it would make a great mangrove snook rod :D my only concern is it may be too fast for trout... one thing is for sure, it is perfect for pulling reds, gators and doormat flatties out from under thick dock cover. pitching under docks and slinky soft rods don't mix in saltwater! next week i'll give it a test run on pomps, reds, flatties and trout in sgi and post a full review here.

Anyone else have ARS team inshore? I'd like to get some opinions on this rod.

Make sure you rinse those guides and grips off after every trip. Every few trips put a little Armorall on the grip, it'll keep it looking new and head off some the cracking.
