Bite A Bait
Can somebody tell me where I can buy some Bite A Baits? Any bait shops down at the coast or do I have to go up to Tallahassee?
Any advise on what style I should go with would be appreciated as well. I haven't fished them before but have heard some good things about them.
In advance, thanks.

They are at South Georgia Outdoors in Cario, GA, a store in Quitman, GA, Kevin's in Tally, Wilson's in Perry and Keaton Beach Marina in Keaton.

Re: Bite A Bait
Walmart doesnt carry bite a bait plugs. They probably carry big bite grubs.

Thanks Guys for the intel on where to get Bite-A-Baits. I headed up to Kevin's yesterday and bought some (along with a bunch of other stuff). My daughter and I are fishing the Tallahassee Professional Firefighter's Tournament this weekend out of the Carrabelle Boat Club and I am hoping I can put her on a decent trout for the kids division. For a 10 year old she slings a rod/reel pretty good, so we'll see how she does with the Bite-A-Baits I bought yesterday. Good luck to all of you all fishing the RTSO, maybe in a few years she and I will head up to the big leagues, right now, we are just trying to get some time on the water gaining experience.

Good luck in the tourney Scoop Sea. I didn't realize there was another tourney Saturday, but if the weather is as predicted, be careful as Carabelle will have some rough water.

Re: Bite A Bait
Scoop Sea you and your daughter should join NFGFC. We have monthly tournaments with several kids competing with their parents and grand parents. It would be a good opportunity to learn new areas to fish and have fun in a tournament atmosphere.
WHOSE FISH IS IT?
Re: Bite A Bait
My bad Scoop, I checked and it was FishBites that we bought not biteabait.
Re: Bite A Bait
Hey JT, I've been meaning to make one of the monthly meetings, but it seems that every time one is scheduled I am out of town. When are the tourneys held, i.e. Saturday's or Sunday's? We try and hit Church on Sunday's, so if it is on Sunday's we would have to miss em. Also, can you become a member without making it to the meeting, i.e. is there a website or other remote way to become a member?Jumptrout51 wrote:Scoop Sea you and your daughter should join NFGFC. Thanks,

You don't have to come to the meetings to be a member but you don't know what you're missing. The club website is www.nfgfc.org and you can join the morning of your first tournament, just see Larry Cobb and he'll be glad to set you up.

Thanks RC, I looked at the website and saw the next meeting in May is one that I am currently slated to be in town for. In turn, I'll try to make it out to the meeting and join up. Which Beef's is the meeting held at? Thanks. Chris
