Seeking a redfish/trout tournament partner.

Post by antoni »

looking for a tournament partner to hook up with. I am interested in fishing any local bigbend tournament as well as the "IFA Redfish tour" gulf coast division. also interested in fishing other tours but i want to try the IFA tour first to get my feet wet.

The next IFA Redfish gulf division is being hosted in panama city- june 5. 2010. it's a single day two person team event with a low entry fee. check out details here http://www.redfishtour.com/index.html

if you have a boat and are in need of a good partner let me know. I'm a responsible , easy to get along with and love hardcore fishing. :D i'll buy the gas&beer.no problem and i don't mind push polling.

so if you are interested in fishing local or regional events this year please pm me.
thanks

Come to some of the NFGFC meetings and youll meet plenty of folks that can help you find a partner. A lot of good folks that know a little about fishing and alot about BS!! :-D Id also contact Chalk on this forum. He has a ton of experience in IFA tourneys and he's always looking for folks to go fishing with. You might even get him to put u on a Cobia. He likes sight fishing for them and can see them from a mile away!!!!!

Had a great time with the guys. The fish decided to stay home but we had the party anyway!

just got back from my trip too. went to sgi for a week. the sgi west end bay was blown out a few days but once the bay cleared up and the winds died down i was able to locate the reds. caught about 8 or 9 reds the last two days i was there and lost a bunch more. most were slot size fish except one 30" monster that i battled for 10 minutes. also caught a 6lb trout on a gold spoon while redfishing. released all but one one red that died from inhaling my spoon. also got some average size flounder pitching under docks. lots of baby flounder around.

I'll check out the the tallahassee redfish club. for now i think i'll fish the kayak events until i can find a partner. i'm thinking about entering the "Rock the Dock" tourney. sounds like fun.
