Need advice...

Post by jka_gator »

I normally put in at St. Marks but I'm wanting to go out at Carabelle for the first time later this week. Any advice on ramps, channel navigation, etc?

Thanks.

(How about local restaurants, too!)

For ramps, I like the one at C-Quarters. It is next to the condos just before you get to the fish cleaning house. It is a good deep ramp, but you will need 2 people to launch because there are no docks. We normally let one person back in, the other in the boat pulls up to C-quarters and we load up there and get ice and bait.

The channel is well marked all the way out, just make sure you don't cut the last marker going out of the river. Wait until you get to the range marker to turn SW.

Wicked Willies is a good place for some grub and a  after you are done fishing

You will see a pavillion on your left as you are motoring out, the resturant is right behind that

By car from the Marina, head East on 98, when you get to the little intersection make a right and Wickeds is down on your left

Nice ride. Looks like you went a long way to get it.
What was I supposed to do today?
