I personally know guys that grew up here that have pictures of them catching snook and tarpon in the St. Johns river in downtown Jacksonville. It blew my mind when I saw the pictures.

why not just take a trip to indian river lagoon and get into some epic snook fishing? i am a indian river native. :D

Just trying to find a place closer to home. If I were gonna go that far I dont think I could break myself of going to Evergalades City. I just love that place when they are spawning.

I have caught one in the big bend area and ive been fishin it for 10 yrs!!!! Not too common but anything is possible!! If you do catch some or just one please post it brother!!!! Good luck!!

I have caught one juvenile near pepperfish key in over 40 years of big bend fishing. I have seen one other in of all places hanging under a dock at the Keaton Beach canal. We were sure he was VERY lost.
Its a wonderful day in the neighborhood!
