Lake Hall - May 1

Post by Terrier »

Fished from 2:00PM to 7:30PM. Despite the wind, picked up a mixed bag of bass, bream, and specks - all on the fly rod. I took 4 specks home, one a chunky 15" fish caught near the pads. The fish are active and and seem to be holding just off the pads. It was hard to stay on the specks with the wind howling.

Good fishing report!

Is your Terrier a fishing pardner? We are looking for a dog to join us in fishing. We have a Bassett Hound and can't find anything she is good for other than being a stinking dog.

Thanks!

No - he stays home. I won't bring my dog around freshwater in Florida because of gators, even though Lake Hall is safe (there are only a few gators on the lake - most are on Lake Overstreet).
I had another terrier (scottish terrier) I took sailing about 20 years ago. When the boat heeled in a strong gust he looked at me and cussed me out for about 10 minutes (really - he had this strange combination bark/growl). He lit into me like a Chief Boatswains mate. He had no use for boats after that.
