Weekend tournaments...or any for that matter?
Well, being relatively new to Tallahassee (been here about 2 years) I was an avid bass fisherman in my last place of residency. Here's the deal, I work law enforcement and it requires me to work some weekends. I want to join a bass club, but working some of the weekends prevents me from fishing some of their tournaments. Is anyone aware of any organization around here where anyone can just show up, pay a tournament fee, and fish? If so, any info. would be valued and appreciated. I'm new to this site and glad I found it. It has a wealth of info.
Brunner, you could fish when you can with NFGFC, our saltwater club. You could fish by yourself, or bring a guest. Or, better yet, come to a meeting when you can, meet some new people, and ask around. There are always people wanting to fish.
As for bass fishing, I don't know of a club you could just show up and fish with. But there are several buddy tournaments in this area you could show up for, pay an entry fee, and fish. There are always tournaments on Seminole. You'll also find some on Talquin and The Apalachicola River. The Leon County Sherrifs Department Tournament is May 8, out of Williams Landing on Lake Talquin.

What was I supposed to do today?
