Oil Spill?

Post by redbelly7 »

With the oil spill looking at coming to the Big Bend area, are there any seasoned fisherman that can let us newbies know how long it will affect the fishing in the Big Bend area? I'm wondering if it will close the marinas and fish camps.

I don't think anyone can say that until we see how much oil actually comes into our area. So far, I've heard about two dozen estimates. Kinda like a tropical storm I think, it's anyone's guess, depending on wind, tide, and weather. It's still a wait and see game right now.

I think we are all pretty much in the same boat......we are all newbies when it come to this problem. It kind of like the old joke about the trucker who woke up his buddy to see the wreck about to happen because he had never seen one like that before.......but, it ain't no joke!

We might all have to go back to Redbelly fishing :)
