trolling motor bracket mounting ?

Post by SHOWBOAT »

The quick release mount on the bow of my Xpress seems to be working loose. I have tighetened the four bolts that keep it in place before each of the last two trips, but throughout the day the bolts work loose leading to a wobbly motor (especially in rought water). I apparantely need to replace the existing bolts, but there is no way I can reach them from under the deck. I can see the bottom of the bolts but can get within about 6' of them. What are some viable alternatives for replacing the bolts that wouldn't require below deck access to attach the nuts?

SS lag bolts "with 5200 on them" or them expanding TM bolts "insert goes in hole and spreads as the bolt is tightened"

Thanks Wevans! I knew I had some options, just didn't know what they were
