SGI Fishing

Post by stonewall »

I need some help with any tips on fishing around Saint George Island? This is my first time fishing here and yesterday we fished the grass flats west of Sikes cut with little action. A couple of short trout, some blues, and ladies. Any suggestions? Thanks

You fished a good area.
The bite was slow for lots of people yesterday.
Try the flats around the airport in the Plantation.
WHOSE FISH IS IT?

Like JT51 said, you were in a good area. The area more west of the cut behind Little St. George is good too. In fact the more west of the cut the better. If you have a chart and know where Horseshoe cove is try there for red fish. Great area on a high tide. Lots of oyster bars.
Good luck

I was there all weekend and sunday and monday were slow. You were in the same area that I was fishing. Keep getting after it. It was just slow!
