Those were good pictures (of a not so good thing....). I would advise any fishermen seeing these types of tarmats, floating oil, etc. to contact the environmental hotline: 1-866-448-5816. It would be advantageous to make the call from the actual site on the water if possible. I would also advise to get the lat/long and a good description: black/brown/orange 10 feet long, several mats, etc.... There are over 250 vessels in this area of response working to address the oil on the water etc, but there are a lot more vessels out there for recreational purposes. Those boats offer a great opportunity to provide real-time reporting.
