Fishing and lil catch'n

Post by Chalk »

Headed out kinda early this morning...launched the boat solo cause everyone that was asked had to sell a boat, work, was in California and one person even left me a vulgar voice mail :o  Headed off into the unknown...first spot had mullet boiling on the surface....the spoon was crashing into a mullet for every foot. Third cast and wam...fish on...small red....20 more casts and a few misses and wam fish on. Second fish had a head like a bull...it was all head....kinda like JT

Moved on and saw a few more....moved again, and again. Talked to Cairotrout for a minute on the wata and moved on...Thunderstorm to the north and one to the south...had the wind swirling and the lightning flying. Loaded the boat onto the trailer and headed to second spot. Launched and headed down the washboard dirt road....wind was howling and poling the boat was doable, but still tough. Will be glad when that MinnKota arrives at SGO for them solo and tourney scouting trips. Saw a few fish but was looking and no rod in hand....back down the dirt road and loaded the boat again.

Headed to spot three and launched the boat again :o  ....earlier storms had the water all jacked up and the wind beat me into submission. KyTrkyHntr says I'm like a snapping turtle and don't know when to let go  ....I let go today - to go at it again tomorrow and then again Satdy.

Beat working - saw some great looking flats that I have not been too in awhile...saw some fish, caught some fish, nothing broke - it was a great day :-D

KY, he never gave me $5 to wash my boat. Nor has he shown any gratitude to CSMarine and I for teaching him how to fish. I guess you fell into the tra[.
