Launched the boat and headed off to a lil hidey hole that has a few fish and they were there...saw about 30 fish on the first pass. Was not fishing...only looking...at one time I had 6 reds swim under the boat. None of these fish were the right ones...but you only know the right ones at the weigh in.
Loaded up and headed to launch number two....waited for a rain shower to get by....chatted up with some local bait fisherman at the dock. Weather cleared and off I went. First spot showed a few promising fish....second spot showed some more promising fish. Three was the charm and four right fish swam by the boat and I was watching another red sleeping on the sand. Saw several reds laying up on the sand..which is the result of the tide slowing down....it will be worse Saturday. Hit three more spots and there were fish on all the spots.
Decided the wind wasn't bad enough and I could move to third location. Loaded the boat and headed across town and launched again....creek looked good, but when I rounded the bend the sheep were stacked up tight. The white caps were so bad I almost spun it around...but if I could get to that one bank I wanted to fish I would be golden. So, the HPX tunnel hits the bank skimming and dicing the edge...I get half way to the bank and I see my neighbor on the bank - I was like dam...all that for nothing...spun around and put it on the trailer.
Saw a good number of fish....but will they bite? Got fish a long way away...but will the waves and weather be too much for the fish and the fishermen...decisions...decisions
Boat ran good, saw fish and nothing broke...another wonderful day on the wata
