A unique website dedicated to fishing information from Florida's Northern Big Bend. This includes the area from the Econfina River west to the Apalachicola River
Picked up my boat and new motor Saturday. Went fishing and break in running yesterday. It is amazing how a new (and properly operating)motor can change your boating experience. The folks that I bought the motor from did an excellent job and my expectations were surpassed. Now all I have to do is find some fish. All I caught yesterday were a short Trout, 2 small Sea Bass, and a Shark.
Out.

What motor did you get? Know the pain you had. Went to the river to test run an old 25 hp motor I was working on this morning. Motor ran like crap, and my old truck wouldn't start when I got back to the ramp. Dang Ford truck ain't got but 300,000 miles on it, and I'm already having trouble with it. Old motor's suck!
Only 300,000 miles and it is already givin you trouble? I wish they would make things that would last a little while.
I got a never been used 2008 25HP Yammy two stroke. I have had Yammys in the past with good service. It is like anything else, if you take care of it it will take care of you. Found out the previous owner had not taken care of the poor old dead 25. If some people treated their dogs the way they treat mechanical things, the dogs would have run away a long time ago.
