Thinking about Keaton for fishing and scalloping. Advise?

Post by tallykenj »

I live In Tally and usually fish St. Marks. I've been to Panacea once and now I'm thinking about going to give Keaton Beach a try. I read some say fishing and scalloping are good in the area. How far away is it from the Southwood area? Where is a good place to launch a 24' pontoon? Any other advise would be appreciated. I'm looking for success. Thanks. :D

Hit google map and try Keaton Beach to give you distance. There are two places to launch. The public ramp just are you are coming into Keaton on the left and Keaton Beach Marina that has a lift. Go out channel and turn left or right. Look for the armada. Don't forget your diver down flag!
Its a wonderful day in the neighborhood!
