St. Marks 7/3 7/4
I've been an avid reader of this forum but this is my 1st post.
My partner, Bartman, and I decided to see if we could redeem ourselves for our poor catching performance in June.
Our live bait selection was difficult to come by both days, but after some work we would have a respectable selection of pinfish to offer up.
After much deliberation on where to fish, we elected to try back in the East River. It turned out to be a good decision. The Reds cooperated with us both mornings. The action was really furious for about a half hour on the outgoing tide on both mornings.
Final tally: 7 reds 24” to 27” 2 trout 17” 18”
numerous ladyfish and a few catfish, these were caught on live shrimp.
Overall, a fine trip that exceeded our expectations. Sorry, no pics…I will do better next time.

I've heard of Old Dog. Isn't he the trout slayer with the counter on the front of his boat? If so, he may be out of my league.
Thanks.
Thanks.

Great report. I'm glad to hear of another circle city slicker fishing the area. Keep it up. Just out of curiosity, do y'all drive all the way from dothan that morning or do y'all come down the day before and spend the night.
Catholic girl pray for me, you’re my only hope for heaven
Re: St. Marks 7/3 7/4
We got tired of departing Dothan @ dark:30 so we started leaving the afternoon or evening before the day we want to fish. When we arrive @ St. Marks, we go ahead & launch the boat so that we can get on the water as early as possible the next a.m. We stay at the Shell Island Fish Camp and fish for at least 2 days when we can get down there.

When in St. Marks, go by my mother's store "Bo Lynn's Gro." and say Kenny said hello.
