Grass at Keaton?

Post by ragansm1 »

How bad is the floating grass at Keaton Beach for fishing in close? Was real bad a couple weeks ago. Going scalloping and maybe fishing tomorrow.

To fish, or not to fish, . . . those are the answers.

It was real bad in close five days ago. Too bad for most lures. Weedless spoon for reds suggested in close. Have to watch your water intake close on your motor also.

Got our limit of scallops. Grass was a problem for top water. Did get a few blow ups. Caught several short trout on grubs. Still a GREAT day on the water no matter!!! Stay away BONNIE!!!!!!!!
