Rocky Creek??
Does anyone know anything about the ramp at Rocky Creek, near Steinhatchee. Was wondering how deep the creek is out to the gulf, how easy it is to travel, and also what size boat is OK to launch??? Also, is the fishing any good around there???? Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.....
Re: Rocky Creek??
The ramp has no slope, the creek is fairly easy to navigate I would not probaly put a boat in there that drafts more than 10 to 12 inches.Fishing is usually good there the water is stained as of last weekend but still good fishing.

Re: Rocky Creek??
Just curious, I'm lost. The only Rocky Creek I know of in that area flows into the Steinhatchee River, just north of Steinhatchee, about 1/4 south of Steinhatchee Falls. Seems like a long ride to the Gulf to me. Is there another Rocky Creek near Steinhatchee, possibly on the Dixie County side? I know there's another Rocky Creeks that flows through Perry and into the Fenholloway, but something tells me that's not the one you are talking about either. Is it close to Dallus Creek? Just a local boy hearing about a boat ramp in his own backyard that I didn't even know existed.

Yep Red, spent a many Saturdays at the swimming hole on Rocky Creek in Perry. That's also the first thing I thought of.
