Weekend of Golf and Gulf

Post by Chalk »

Friday ended around 3:00 with a round of golf at 4:00...we tee off and head off into the woods, rough and sometimes the fairway through the course. Laid a nice drive on a par 4...second shot was just short of the green. My partner is off to the left...I drive up and get the pitching wedge and putter out...walk by the cart on the left side and said take the cart. Then I get ran over by the cart :o ...as in pinned down on the ground with a golf cart on my left leg. If it was filmed I'm sure it would have been pretty funny to see me rolling around on the fairway with clubs flying in the air...I survived...left with only a black mark on my shoes. Running over my left ankle really helped with my slice....next time to adjust your slice take the cart and run over your left ankle

Got up late Satdy (stayed up late  )...headed out with Lil Chalk around 9ish. Didn't look at the tides, weather, nothing....got some gas and we went. Launched the boat and headed out looking for Barhopr..no Barhopr to be found or raised on the phone. We headed west and within a few minutes had a red trying to eat the Aqua dream spoon. Few more minutes later and Lil Chalk had a red on and then a red off. Sea breeze was kicking up and poling perpendicular to it was a pita. So, we moved here and there and only saw one more red...looking at the low water you would have thought it was a winter time low. Moved closer to the ramp, by now it's hotter than Chewbacca balls on the sun's surface :o ....Finally called the ball and told Lil Chalk lets go its too hot. Headed into the ramp and Barhopr and crew and hmaadd29 and crew were on my six heading in as well. Ended the day at BHill chillin with the boys.

To top the weekend off..got up and went on a three mile walk with the Jack Russell. A little over half way back home and this brown bull mastiff "cujo" looking dog comes flying by me and steam rolls my dog....that was interesting and touch and go for a second...big dog only scared the shiot out of the little dog...I had to check my britches too

Great weekend despite the hit and run and lack of fish...boat ran great and had fun with my son and friends...wish every weekend was this fun....now if it would cool off some.

Good variety to the report Chalk. Dayum dude. Ran over by a golf cart. Wonder if  could have had anything to do with that? :D Drive those Par 4's and you won't have problems like that (coming up short).

Had a similiar thing happen when running in the neighborhood a while back. Had a pit bull come charging. Stopped, got pissed and was ready for battle. Owner hollered at him and he retreated. Went home and called the dog control folks and reported. Next day was driving home from work and saw a lady with two young children about to head that way. Stopped and gave her my story. She turned around and went opposite direction.
