i got up and headed to the flats onlt to barely see a massive wall of rain headin right for me! i decided to head back and i was right. i was pounded with rain until about 7:00 and headed back out with no luck. once i gat on shore i knoticed bait pods nervious around the surface so i went ahead and made a cast and WHAM! redfish on. I snaped a pic and threw her in the cooler, then went back to fishing.
a few minutes later and...wham wham another red on. another pic and he was on his way.
but my best fish of the day came when i layed my skitterwalk right next to a dock piling and slowly walked in back. then when i turned away i feel a tug.(yes i walk it when im not lookin) i didnt get excited because i thought it was another little red.he got wraped in a bouy but got off in a sec. when i reeled him up closer i realized it was a HUGE TROUT!! i baby him in the rest of the way and when i reached down i am over joyed with the sight of this brute
spectarular day and awesome trout(matched my personal best in the same sopt as last year)litteraly
Nice catch. If you don't mind me askin, is that SGI? I wanna take my two boys surf fishing this weekend and was looking for a good spot. Probably gonna hit bald point or alligator point. Awesome fish.
Dude, Your posts are really starting to make me sick. Between the weather, work and more work, I've caught like 3 under-slot trout, one under-slot redfish and a toadfish all month. My buddy and I were talking about doing the Kayak Wars a while back, but after reading all of your posts, I see that we would never stand a chance.
Keep em comin! Very Nice!
