Trailer Work

Post by sundown »

I need to get a set of guide on's put on my boat trailer.. The trailer is a Triton, it came with factory installed guide on's that peeled off like a banana when the boat bumped them. Company sent me replacements but I never had them welded on as they are just too flimsy . esp when you're trying to load a boat ninety degrees to a hard current as at Enconfina. Plus boat don't turn that tight.
Boat is 20' so they need to be pretty sturdy although I try to center them; not hit em when loading.
I know there is a trailer company down around Crawfordville. Anybody had dealings with them ? I'd like to bring my boat down, let em measure it if necessary, and then go put boat in at Shell Island and then bring trailer back to them. Then pick it up after they do the work .

Any thoughts or info appreciated!

Will they put lights on a trailer for you? I have decided that I no longer mess with trailer lights.

Dan and Rex at Coastal Trailer are top-notch. Great service, fair prices and they can do it all, from guide-ons, repacking hubs, trailer lights, replacing fenders, etc. I've been using them for 10+ years and will continue to do so.

Atticus, they sold and installed my trailer lights (I went with LED); I'm happy. Price was comparable to on-line prices.
